Genuine Issue Medium Rucksack Frame (Model 1609) for MOLLE II field gear equipment. A specialized "Open Perimeter" frame designed to support the U.S. Army's Medium Rucksack system. It bridges the gap between frameless assault packs and the larger sustainment rucksacks.  This item is typically used with 3-day assault packs and patrol packs.
