US Genuine Hot Weather Patrol Cap (IHWCU), in new and unissued condition (sometimes in original sealed packaging). Part of the official U.S. Army Improved Hot Weather Combat Uniform (IHWCU) series, designed for hot and humid environments with mean monthly temperatures exceeding 68°F (20°C).
It features six metal eyelet vents for maximum airflow, a lightweight 50/50 nylon-cotton (NYCO) ripstop fabric that enhances breathability while remaining durable and tear-resistant. The design prioritizes heat dissipation and ventilation, making it ideal for tropical, desert, and high-heat field use.
This version has no ear flaps, distinguishing it from the standard temperate patrol cap.

- No Ear Flaps: Designed without fold-down ear flaps for reduced bulk and improved comfort in high-temperature environments.
- Concealed Map Pocket: Includes a two-piece inner crown lining that forms a small internal pocket, ideal for storing maps, documents, or small personal items.
- Operational Security (NIR Compliant): Treated with Near Infrared (NIR) technology to minimize the wearer's infrared signature, reducing visibility under night-vision devices.
- Sun Protection: Equipped with a wide, reinforced visor with a stiffener to shield the eyes and face from sunlight and glare.
- Water Repellency: Treated with Quarpel finish for water and stain repellency while maintaining breathability.
- Name Tape Attachment: Features a hook-and-loop (Velcro) strip on the rear band for secure attachment of name tapes or other identifiers.
