• Types: There are two primary types
  • Storm: These used an older "black cap" design. They were more prone to leaking around the lid if cross-threaded and the plastic was often stiffer, which could lead to cracking over time.
  • Hydramax: These bladders moved toward the "Omega" style large-mouth opening. This allowed for easier cleaning (you could fit a hand inside to scrub) and the ability to add ice cubes easily. They also featured an improved, antimicrobial material to reduce "funk" buildup.
