US Genuine Issue Combat Cap, in new and unissued condition (sometimes in original sealed packaging). This is the classic BDU-era standard-issue field hat, officially designated as the "Cap, Combat" before the "Patrol Cap" nomenclature became standard.

This series is constructed from a durable 50/50 cotton-polyester twill fabric designed for year-round utility. Unlike the specialized Hot Weather version, this standard combat cap features a solid crown without side vent eyelets, providing a more robust structure and traditional field appearance while maintaining the classic low-profile silhouette.

  • Solid Crown Construction: Unlike the "Hot Weather" version, this standard combat cap has a solid side crown without metal vent eyelets, providing better protection in temperate or dusty environments.
  • Fold-Down Ear Flaps: Includes integrated, fleece-lined ear flaps (neck flaps) that tuck neatly into the crown when not in use. These provide extra warmth for the ears and neck in windy or cool conditions.
  • Reinforced Visor: Features a stiffened, multi-stitched brim designed to shield the face from sun and glare while maintaining its shape even after being crushed in a rucksack.
  • Water Repellent Finish: Factory-treated with a Quarpel-type finish to provide initial resistance against light rain and stains without sacrificing the breathability of the cotton-blend fabric.
  • Sew-On Identification: This era of headgear was designed for traditional sew-on name tapes; it does not feature the hook-and-loop (Velcro) patches found on modern OCP or UCP caps.
